The legend takes shape

A beautiful princess named Cuzán, lived in love with Mackech, a brave warrior who was called a beetle, to save his life.

Faithful to her beloved, she covered him with precious stones and pinned it to her heart. The princess dedicated her life to caring for him and eventually died of love.

The gods rewarded Cuzán's dedication by turning her into the Moon, so that his faithful Mackech could love her for all eternity.

And since then, all the lovers profess their love under the Moon of Cuzán.
